A 1996 graduate of The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine, Matt founded Equine Veterinary Hospital of Northern Indiana in 2006. Originally from northeast Ohio, he showed Belgians as a teenager and young adult. He currently lives in Bremen with his wife, Terry, and daughters, Carolyn and Bethany.

A 2016 graduate of Michigan State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine, Julia joined EVH in 2017 after completing an internship at the University of Georgia Veterinary Teaching Hospital. Originally from Michigan, Julia grew up on a breeding farm where her family was active in Thoroughbred racing. She currently lives in Edwardsburg, MI.

Lauren Rafter, DVM

A 2015 graduate of St. George’s University College of Veterinary Medicine, Lauren Joined  EVH in 2019 after completing an internship in Wellington, Florida and 3 years general practice in Virginia. She grew up in northern Indiana and has returned to practice in the area. She has strong interests in all aspects of general practice with an emphasis is alternative medicine, such as chiropractics. She is experienced with equine as well as small animal chiropractics. Lauren currently resides in Syracuse, IN with her husband, three horses, dogs and two cats.
